I'm planning a full kitchen refurb and wanted to knock out the chimney breast and fit a range cooker. However, having read hundreds of reviews, I'm not impressed. Even the more upscale brands seem beset with problems and get poor reviews. Instead, I was thinking I could do a lot better for my money with two good-quality built-under ovens (maybe a single and a double, so I could use one small oven just as a grill) fitted side-by-side, and a decent large hob on top. Please can anyone tell me if this should be feasible, and if there are any pitfalls to look out for? Obviously effectiveness comes first, but I want them to look good, too. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
UPDATE: Thanks for replying, Ash, that's really helpful! So what I was thinking now was a single oven (Samsung do one that you can actually split into two small ones if you need to?) And then a microwave combi next to it, with a warming drawer underneath? I guess that should work? But what would I need to do if the main oven was rated at 16 amps? Is that very costly to sort out? Also, I read that induction hobs shouldn't really be fitted over built-under ovens, and that's something I was considering... Is it a no-no? Thanks again to anyone reading!

Yes it is perfectly feasible to fit two built in ovens side by side.
Two ovens of the same size would look more pleasing to the eye.
A single oven will fit into a standard 600mm base cabinet, however a double wouldn't. Therefore a cabinet would be manufactured on site for each double oven.( you can use a tall ladder cabinet).
In the past have fit side by side single oven, with warming draw adjacent with steam oven over the draw as combined they have the same dimensions as a single oven.
Do be careful when choosing appliances in particular ovens as many of the higher end manufactures single ovens are now rated at 16amps ( often if has a self cleaning function) so can't be connected on a standard 13amp plug.

That set up would certainly look good and be usable.
Typically an induction hob can be fit over a built in oven. Many manufactures sell them as paired packs with illustrations showing that type of installation.
The issues arise when the the thickness of the hob itself is more than the thickness of the worktop it is being installed into. This then reduces the ventilation gap between the top of the oven and fan assembly on the underside of every induction hob causing insufficient ventilation. So a bit of product research should save any problems at the time of installation.
The better quality ovens are all well insulated to minimise heat lose through the oven body so heat is not a massive issue. There has been cases of metal object underneath induction hob affecting the magnetic field but I have never personally seen this.
I do fit a lot of high end products and kitchens and can honestly say you do pay for what you get.
One thing you could do size of kitchen allowing is a "appliance bank" so a series of tall units so for instance a integrated fridge/freezer, adjacent tall unit containing single oven, next tall unit contains warming draw and micro/steam oven balanced by a pull out ladder adjacent.
Obviously this can take up a lot of space so may not be suitable. The hob will then sit over a double pan draw unit.
With regard the electrics we are moving toward kitchens being on there own circuit as they are becoming so load heavy. If you have an existing 32amp cooker supply this will typically be needed for the induction hob, if your single oven is 16amp a new radial circuit will need to be installed. Cost will obviously depend on the distance from your existing consumer unit, whether your consumer unit is up to current regs and able to accommodate an additional circuit. This is a good time to consider any other electrical requirements or new appliance locations, task lighting, ceiling lighting, number of above work surface sockets.
