Where do i position the middle fence post in a front garden boundry that wont fit 2 full panels?

I have an area of 3.50 meters wide which I want to put up a picket fence. My fence panels are 1.83m in length. Do I place the middle fence post at 1.75m and cut the two panels to fit OR do I place the middle post at 1.83m fix one full length panel and cut the second panel to fit the remaining gap (1.67m). Essentially do I want an off-centre middle post to fit 1 full length and 1 cut panel or a centred middle post to fit 2 cut panels? What would be the best method to use to achieve the best looking result?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

To achieve best visual look I would place middle post in center and cut both panels to fit. Will make fencing look much better. hope it helps

It's a case of either or to be honest. Structurally it won't make any difference, aesthetically it will. Its depends how much looking at an off centre post would bug you, it'll be less work that way as you'll only have to cut one panel down.
