Musty smell in built in wardrobe
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.42 PM
Last year I found the back of built in wardrobe mouldy which we treated, the cupboard was closed for several months and there is now a musty smell. Do you know what could cause this?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sounds like damp to me, get an anti fungicide and apply.
Look on the wall behind check if there are any black patchs
you may have water egressing into the wall

condensation.if the wardrobes have back panels you should cut air vents into them top and bottom.this will get the air flowing.also have you got the wardrobe stacked tight with clothes, not a good idea.hope this helps.
