Low water pressure in shower

Anonymous user 18 August 2016 - 9.57 PM

Can anyone help. We have a shower with a pump and it's starts of running fine then sometimes all of s sudden the water pressure drops and there's hardly any water. I bought s new pump but it still doing the same. Any ideas why this is happening . Cheers Craig

Has it always done this ? Could be piped up wrong causing it to suck in air or could be the tank in your loft wasn't sized when pump was put in and it's using all the water ? Run the shower (pump) while someone is in the loft watching the amount of water being used. While up there, make sure the ball cock is operating correctly.

Do you hear it fire up when any other outlets are opened in the house? If so it could be tee'd into a pipe rather than straight into the cylinder, this can cause fluctuations in the pipe pressure if other outlets are teed into the shower pumped feed. Or the pump could just be faulty, the flow switch might have debris in it or something
