Gas Hob fitting
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.41 PM
Hi, Fitting a new gas hob with electric oven in unit below, need to remove old gas cooker bayonet fitting. The new hob will be about 3 foot away from existing gas pipe. Q. Should the gas pipe be fitted first or the electrics, what is best for ease of fitting. Also do you need to fit an isolation valve to the gas pipe going to new hob or is this just good practice. Thanks JS

Please do not ask questions on Gas appliance installation. These questions are better answered by inviting a Gas Safe engineer to your property to advise.
Gas Safe who police are industry look very dimly on engineers giving specific gas advice to home owners!
