Ask a questionDamp Proofing
The wall in my hall is damp, the shower is on the other side.

Could it be the sealant or grout needs replacing? The wall has patches of efflorescence and is looking unsightly plus we are trying to sell our flat. Someone looked at this a year ago and we are back to square one. A guy came round and filled the bath, we left it over night and he ascertained that it probably wasn't a leak from the actual shower. He cut a hole i nthe bath panel and it was wet under the bath so said it was probably the sealant now working and reapplied it. It seemed ok for about 9 months and not a third of the wall is stained and crumbly at the bottom.
