Broken glazed sealed unit, is it possible to swap it for a upvc panel?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.22 PM

We recently bought a second hand conservatory, we safely dismatled it and got it home but upon unloading one of the glazed units shattered, its only one of the sheets of glass that went. I am wondering what the best way to repair it is? Or if its possible to get a upvc unit to go in its place as that window is next to a fence anyway

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, It shouldn't be a problem, is it a wooden or UPVC conservatory?? Either way a replacement piece of glass will be readily available. Regards Jason Flynn Flynn & sons

Hi Charlb82, This will depend if it is a wooden or Upvc Conservatory and also the widtt size of the unit 16mm, 20mm 24mm or 28mm for example. You could get a white panel just to go inside it but also consider if you wanted light as with the panel it will block light out. Hope this helps. Regards S.W. Repairs
