Can I paint over white matt emulsion with white silk emulsion without any nightmares when doing job and after

Yes you can, as always just rub down with a fine glass paper, you might get away with one coat but be prepared to appy two coats, instructions likely to say leave at least 4hrs between coats.

To have it best results sand it with sandpaper put 3 coats as 2 sometimes not helping but if do then its enough and 2 coats. You will see it after it drys but for best results to see have look next day.
