how to level up different floors of different heights...

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.03 PM

Hi, so I have knocked the wall down between my kitchen and my dining room. My dining room has it's original solid wood floor, my kitchen however has a concrete floor with a resin type thing over the top. Although this is flat, it differs with the floor height of the other room. To make this worse, the difference across the room (between the two rooms) is 30mm different at one end, 10mm different in the middle and 20mm different at the other end. I'm looking to lay insulation boards, underfloor heating (electric), and tiles on top, how am I best doing this so I get a good finish on the kitchen? Kind regards, nigel

Latex floor levelling compound. It comes in a powder form, you mix it with water and simply pour on top, it will self level and set in a few hours.
