Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.21 PM
I have recently started to redecorate my house. all the wallpaper has been removed and the plaster underneath is in great condition but It has revealed lead based paint. what is the best way to remove this? I know heat guns and sanding it down are not recommended but how about a steamer? when I was removing the wallpaper a lot of the paint was coming off with steam to? is this safe?

yes it is safe to remove the paint by steamer, although there is no need to "if" you are going to wallpaper the wall/s again and if you think the paint wont appear as a "raised surface" under the new paper after it has fully dried out after "pasting".
