Lining paper on outside corner

Am getting a decorator to hang lining paper in my room with few outside corners. - Corner isn't straight, does the wallpaper have to be flush tight ? - I can feel some air gaps where corner isn't same. Am going to paint over it once he finishes.

If you wallpaper around an external corner, the wallpaper should be nice and tight to the wall because otherwise like you have explained the wallpaper will start developing air gaps! The air gaps will stand out more when painted.

On an external corner where the paper is wrapped around a corner, note that firstly the lining paper should only have be wrapped for about 1-2 inches & secondly I would have applied some border adhesive/stronger glue down either side of the corners to reduce risks of those bubbles appearing. So ask the decorator what glue he used on those wraps? If its just lifting on a seam then it might be possible to gently lift a seam with a kraft knife & apply more glue with a very small brush.
