wiring up of a light up mirror
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.40 PM
We are about to have a full renovation of our bathroom and I would like to have a light up mirror. I have seen some lovely ones but the wired in ones still need to be switched on using the sensor. Is it possible to wire these mirrors so that they automatically switch on with the main light being switched on? Thanks a lot.

Wire it into the lighting circuit and not the radial. It all depends on the mirror though and the manufacturer guidelines. Buy the mirror first so you can read them through before putting cables in

From experience probably not most of these sort of lights are LED nowadays & the controller & switch sensor are all linked together so removing the sensor will prevent it from working all together & invalidate any guarantee it comes with.
