Expanding Foam used to block holes

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

I have filled the gap around the toilet pipes with Expanding foam. Will the foam damage the pipework? I am worried as when I flush the toilet/handle or something makes a noise. I am worried the property is rented and I needed to block out bugs so I did it myself as my landlord would not do anything, I live here with my young baby. I am so worried that I have damaged something. Please help.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I can't see that the expanding foam would have done much damage to be honest, you might find the strange noise is due to some other problem or just water pressure, faulty washer maybe.

latest research says their may be a health risk associated with the chemicals in spray foam, although as a sealant it is very effective.
