Glass panels/Windows above internal doors?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.03 PM
We have glass panels/Windows above our internal doors upstairs (there's 3 doors). Is it possible to replace the glass? is it a quick job?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It's not much of a job. Find which side the beading is on and carefully remove it. Carefully remove the glass (may be siliconed/puttied in at the edges). Replace with new glass/ ply/mdf. If you change for ply/mdf, check the thickness of the wood against the glass. You may need to buy thinner beading to suit the frame. Sounds awkward now I'm reading it back!!
