New gas hob in a renovated kitchen
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.54 PM
We would like to have a new gas hob in the kitchen in the house we are renovating. The old kitchen had an electrical hob. There is currently no ventilation system opening to outside in the kitchen, so we could only use an extractor hood with a filter, but opening to the inside of the kitchen. The kitchen has a window and creates an open space with the living room, where there are additionally two large patio windows. Is this acceptable according to the regulations to have a gas hob with no ventilation openning to the outside in our situation? Many thanks Tom

As long as the room has a window or door and and is larger than 5m cubed it's fine, you can instal it in a room that is smaller than this but you will then need ventilation.
