Cold water tank to mains, upstairs bathroom

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.03 PM

We have a cold water tank in our loft that only feeds a small upstairs bathroom. We have a combi boiler downstairs which feeds the whole house and tha kitchen tap is fed from the mains. How easy is it to hook the bathroom up to the mains and remove the cold water tank? Simple job or requires major work? Cheers

This is a reasonably simple job as there will be mains water in the loft so it is a case of connecting the main to the pipe serving the bathroom. It is a 2-3 hour job, with the only potential hazard being the increased pressure in the pipe going from tank to mains fed.
