Mould in fitted wardrobe
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.21 PM
I have a built in wardrobe in my flat the back of which is fixed to an outside facing wall. The interior of the wardrobe is like a woodchip with no finish which makes me think this may have somethings to do with the problem. I have started getting green mould on the back of the wardrobe. I scrub it with bleach and air it but it returns. Any suggestions!

Mould will typically only grow on moisture that is created internally. High humidity in the home will usually form as condensation in the coldest spots. It only takes 6 hours for mould to grow on this moisture.
Bleaching the mould will only cover the symptoms, and not deal with the problem itself - high humidity.
Ask a ventilation specialist for a free survey, they will be able to find a guaranteed cure for you.
