Neighbours fence on my property

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

I live in a terraced house and one neighbour has erected his fence well within my garden (by about 30cm). It was like this when we bought the house about 15 years ago. Are we legally allowed to move it to its rightful place?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The neighbors will be able to claim adverse possession. This is entitled after 12 years of nobody challenging it. This is from personal experience that cost us a lot of money in solicitors and we lost. Sorry! Best regards Bunting Ltd

after 15yrs you will find it difficult to argue that the fence is not in the correct place, your neighbour will argue you have done nothing for 15yrs so their fore it is already in the correct place. good luck with this one Alex
