Just heard a noise coming from my central heating Worcester boiler system..

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.32 PM

Yes we have heard quite a loud noise coming from my central heating Worcester boiler system that is installed in a back bedroom and is about 6 years old. Not heard anything before today but the noise appears now when the hot water tap is turned on upstairs and downstairs plus also when the shower unit is in use.. Not tried the central heating system as yet decided to not attempt in turning that on just in case the fault may cause further complications or even damage. The noise sounds like a sort of buzzing or whurring noise when the hot water is being called for it increases louder the longer a tap is turned on then slowly subsides as a tap is turned off.. Just looking for any suggestions as a possible cause. We have tried to read up on the possible cause and it could be any of a few possibilities.. Any input and further advice or help would really be appreciated .. From Andy in U.K.

Hi there, it could be one of many things going by your description. To be honest the only way to fault find this problem is to get a qualified Gas Safe Registered engineer to have a look at and a listen. Go for someone who has experience with Worcester boilers too. Good luck. Mario from Thermacare Solutions.
