Alcove wallpapering

I tried to wallpaper my alcove in my lounge, and can't seem to get the join right as its curved. Is there a way in which i can do it so i could get the desired quality i want without having to hire a professional?

Hi, Absoultly has Carl says above this would be the very best way for a ideal professional look, cut your template and cut wallpaper to template size and then fit...When your paper is in place put a thin bead of caulk around it,only thin mind,then it will look like it was made that way ;) kind regards Chris

The correct way to wallpaper an alcove is to paper both sides leaving 1cm overhang so that it can be stuck to the inner part of arch, then measure and glue paper slightly than the size of arch so it overlaps the 1cm overlap. Use border wallpaper ahesive to ensure a good bond

I'm assuming your alcove is an arch shape. If so,make a cardboard template to the shape of your alcove/arch,then cut wallpaper to shape of template. Carl.
