Water spurting from tap - air in system?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

I live on the ground floor of a converted house. Over the past week, water I've woken up a couple of times to find water violently spurting out of my taps. On both occasions I have switched all the taps on and flushed the toilet to try and get rid of the air. It seems to work for a while. Is this something I can fix on my own? If so, what's the best way of finding and rectifying the problem? I am also asking the flat upstairs if they are having the same issue. It's happened before and they have had a few leaks in the past.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

does it happen on both hot and cold. What type of heating system do you have? a combination boiler or a conventional heating system? maybe you have a leak under the floor? before your draw off points and its causing air to get in? if i know what type of hot water system you have i may be able to draw a better conclusion regards Dom
