Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.20 PM

I have a sky satellite dish connected to a 6 way satellite signal splitter going to various room. I will be grateful if you could answer this question, whether I will be able to use different decoder in each room and watch different channels like in the aerial signal splitter or I have to connect one decoder and move the decoder around whichever room I want to watch in .Also with this setup will I be able to connect decoder in one room and connect freesat in another room as the TV has a built in freesat in it.your advice will be highly appreciated Many thanks Cass

Usually the way satellite distribution works, you should have four cables from your satellite dish, using a quattro LNB (Not a standard quad LNB), to a satellite multi-switch unit. If you have a 6 way multi-switch it gives you 6 individual satellite feeds. These can then be used in any rooom, and can be used for either sky or freesat with 1 cable for freesat or standard sky and 2 for sky + or freesat +. Hope this helps Brendan Mines

Hi as brendan said earlier, but note that quattro LNB's are designed to work with circular not oval dishes, you may get the quattro to work with an oval dish but the signal strength will be impaired
