Fitting venetian blinds in new build house
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.39 PM
We'd like to fit heavy venetian blinds in a new build house. We have to top fix within the window recess and our builder has advised that it's 15mm plasterboard on timber. We can't fix to the upvc window as the brackets are too big. Can you please advise how best to fit the blinds? Any advice on fixings, methods, do we need to use a drill or just screw in etc? Many thanks in advance for your help.

id would take the blinds to your diy outlet as the self tapping fixings vary and if you have the blind with you they can then advise from there , i would always drill a small pilot hole first as this makes the whole process alot easier
