Architectural Services Question
What is the main job of an architect
Would like to extend garage rebuild our utility room with a shower and toilet. But still have side access. how long to get permission if needed.
Generally you should allow 3 months for something simple like you have proposed, however check your local planning authority as some require more time. Once you have the permission you will then have 3 years to start the project.

The planning permission itself would take 8-10 weeks for the Council to decide. An architect should usually take maximum 2 weeks to provide the drawings to you. So I would suggest the longest time from start to finish is 12 weeks.
