how to remove limescale from a toilet flush lever

my mother in law has a high cistern and the lever she pulls to help it flush gets stuck due to scale.

Cillit bang will do the same thing and comes with the handy spray bottle!
Apply and let it soak a little and then see what you can get off, then re-apply as needed until clean
