Possible to put a toilet on opposite side of house to soil pipe?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.02 PM

Hi, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice? I was wanting to install a small en-suite (just a toilet and washbasin) in an upstairs front bedroom. The existing soil pipe and main bathroom are at the back of the house. We're in the middle of a terrace row, so no sides to run pipes down. Is it possible to put a toilet there? If so, would it require a Saniflow, or are there other options? Tyvm!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, yes you would need a saniflow. Simple answer but it's the only solution since you have no soil pipe nearby to connect into.

Hi. Another option to look at is dropping the soil pipe into the room below and boxing it in or building a false ceiling to hide it. All depends on length of run and property layout. I always fit a macerator as a last resort. Hope this helps.
