New Stud wall - when to call in an electrician

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.54 PM

As the title says, am thinking of getting a new stud wall built for remodelling a bathroom (adding more area for a bath). There would possibly be a light switch (and some plumbing, bath taps?) on that side. Got a builder who will build the wall in one day, but - At what point do i need to call electrician? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Same as above get you builder to build the wooden frame of the wall then if he wants he can plasterbiard the outer side skin of the wall.allowing the sparks to have access to install the cables for you and the plumber will need to do his bit also once complete then board the open side up and plaster. Just make sure your bathroom switch is outside of the bathroom if you want a switch inside then you will have to install a pull cord or have a 12v switch.

Hi when the timber frame work is constructed your electrician will put all the appropriate cables where needed prior to the plasterboard being fixed Hope this helps Regards Darren DCHL Ltd
