can i discounect a gas cooker safely. and disconeect a washing machine safely. anty good advice might save me some money and help in doing these things. thanks from james

A freestanding gas cooker should be fitted with a bayonette hose which can be disconnected with a quarter turn by hand. Although touching gas you really should be gas safe registered as sometime the bayonette fitting can pass gas!

If you are not a competent person you are not allowed to disconnect the gas cooker. You would have get in touch with a gas safe engineer as it is illegal to do it yourself.
