Railing off a curved patio

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

Hi there, I have a semi-circular patio with a 4.5 foot drop off the end. The edge is about 10 metres long. I am hoping to rail it off but am wondering if a rail with a curved edge (to follow the edge of the patio) will be too expensive. How common are curved wooden patio railings and/or should I be looking instead to just use straight edges following the curve around i.e. Squaring off the circle?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You could but posts in around every 1200mm and use a nice decorative rope or chain to run between them at approx 450mm and 900mm high this would be much easyer than trying to create a curve.
