We have had a bad smell under the stairs for one week now had gas checked what could this be ?

Hi What is the smell? It could possibly be a leaking waste pipe. I recently went to a property with a similar issue, it was a slow leak under the suspended floor causing a damp musty smell. If you have a suspended floor, can you get a board up and see anything? Hope that helps
