Aluminium or steel Windows / doors
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.20 PM
Are aluminium Windows / doors the safest in terms of preventing break ins? I've heard of steel doors and windows being the safest but could not find any information on the subject or where to purchase those from / get a quote. Which is the safest and most reliable please?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

They don't really make aluminium Windows any more but the upvc ones are just as good now if not better and if your looking for a strong and secure door one of the best ones are the rock doors

Yes you can get aluminium window & door sets, they're more expensive than pvc though.
Aluk Beaufort are a good aluminium system.
In terms of breaking, most break ins are via a door. Usually via snapping the cylinder.
I fit ultion as standard to all my solidor installations. Solidor pay a £1000 if a burglary happens by snapping the ultion cylinder.
Hope this helps.
