Will removing cupboard space which housed boiler in kitchen area be a costly exercise?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

We recently updated our heating system from a warm air to wet system, fully complete with Bosch Worcester boiler which is now located in our garage. That has left a floor to ceiling cupboard space which used to house our huge old 1970's boiler. We are now looking to knock this down, make good the flooring (tiled throughout kitchen - although think we still have some tiles) and ceiling (which currently runs up under the stairs so need to add new ceiling too). As this job requires a mix of skills, I'm wondering if this is likely to be a costly exercise which would outweigh the other, less costly option, to spruce up cupboard space with new door and some shelves?!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, It would be better for you to get a few local handymen in to give you an estimate for what you want doing and you should then have an idea of costs and timescales to complete the job. Sprucing up with a new cupboard is going to be a cheaper option but if you have the chance to make the floor good and ceiling etc I would definitely explore that option first. hope this helps.
