Damaged Pressure Relief outlet pipe from Combi Boiler
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.32 PM
Afternoon, I have just got home and my other half has some how reversed her car and damaged the Pressure Relief Outlet pipe. It has been bent side ways but hasn't flattened the pipe so air can still flow. I haven't turned the boiler off, is there any reason to not operate the boiler with this not being rectified? Also, how integral is this pipe? Cheers in advance.

hi
prv will only operate if heating pressure to go higher than 2 bar or so as longer it is not squeezed it is not causing any harm to the boiler but should get this sorted any gas safe or a competent plumber would be happy to replace the pipe it is a quite simple job.

The PR pipe needs looking at by a competent Gas safe registered plumber.
