you got to be looking at around 5 days+ . To say 1-3 days to strip paper, prep all walls thoroughly (getting rid of paste from walls/filling etc) 2 coats on walls and ceilings, prep and paint all wood work (undercoat and gloss or satin) to be honest the end result will look slap dash.....

So, to take off old wallpaper one day or less, put new wallpaper one day up to one and half day, sanding doors and frames , filing gaps undercoat another day, and then two days to paint walls and all wood. So we have about 6-7 days. One Week.

I must agree with T C MAINTENANCE ref timescale, its very hard to price any work without seeing it to start, then you dont know condition of walls underneath etc, also i would love to see somebody strip something like woodchip that has been up for alongtime and painted several times over the years in a day!!!!! and have the prepwork ready to paint ceiling and walls next day!!! then if using an oil based undercoat that is harder wearing ive never known it to dry so you can gloss it same day.Of course an acrylic undercoat can be used but not as hard wearing. At last it seems a company with some pride like ourselves and realistic with timescale etc. Im with TC and several others. But depends on size of hall and how many men

5 days would be ample time for 1 person to complete the work, but this would also depend on condition of wall`s once paper is removed and prep work required on doors.

depending on how long to strip paper as some are easy and some are hard to get off the walls but i would say 4 to 5 days would be about right

GDL painting ltd would complete an average halls stairs landing in two and a half to a maximum of three days all dependent on the amount of preperation involved we undertake all projects with that in mind. preperation of all surfaces is a must to achieve the highest quality of finish, halls stairs and landings are your first view when entering a property so it key to get that high standard. further more we would have at least two men on a standard staircase but every project needs to inspected to access the amount of work involved,we larger than most companies that use mybuilder and we are pda and chas accredited kind regards lee richens operations director.
