No hot water pressure in ensuite shower

We just moved to this house and when we try to turn the ensuite shower to hot water only a trickle of cold water comes out. Cold water pressure is ok. The shower head attached to thr bath tap infamily bath has ok hot n cold water pressure. Can somebody tell mr what could be the problem

Could be a number of things. But my first port of call would be checking the the easy options first. 1) The shower head. Is it blocked up with limescale? 2) the shower valve. If it's a thermostat one. It will have a cartridge inside. This part wears or blocks up. Changing this normally fixes it. 3) it could be if on a conventional system. You my need a pump. 4) if combi boiler, your incoming water pressure might be lower. Contacting your water supply will help. 5) could be your plumbing. If you cannot change then fit a electric shower if you can afford it.
