Height of fence permitted

I need to know how high I can go with a fence at the front of my property. I am end of terrace and want to fence between mine and my neighbours house and run the fencing along the front also..... How high can I go? I know the back is 2mtrs but some confusion with the front .. Pls help?

if it onto a pavement or road 3ft, without planning permission,

without permission it is 1m high from ground level on the front and 2m to the rear.
