Plumbing

Installing a toilet in outhouse/office

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.19 PM

Hi - we have an outhouse at the back of our garden flat which has recently been converted to a summerhouse or impromptu office when I'm working at home. It has power (from the main building) but isn't plumbed in. I am keen to install a toilet and sink in the outhouse but I'm not sure it can be connected to the main water supply without being expensive - the drains are quite far away and would also pass through the neighbours garden, which is in between ours and the house. Does anyone have any ideas of how I might get toilet facilities in the outhouse? I'm not insistent on having a fully functional plumbed system so open to creative ideas, but probably not as far as using a hole and sawdust...

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Best thing to do is to install a saniflow with two outlets one being the wc and the other for the basin, you'll only be running a 20mm outlet waste pipe from the macerator to the drains as this will save you from running a bigger diameter pipe.
