Best wall design for windy area with lots of heavy traffic vibration?

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.53 PM

Hello, I am wondering what type of front wall is best for a windy location with lots of heavy traffic . The old wall was 1.8m high but a lower on may be the way to go? I have seen double leaf with air space n ties mentioned on the web.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

When you say front wall, what do you mean exactly? Do you mean front wall of your property i.e. the external wall (1.8m would be very low) or do you mean front wall, as in fencing?

English bond is well known as the strongest bond walling . But a225mm wall with stainless steel wall ties at 450 staging is efficient to stand up against winds . Expansion joints should be at 12 metre sections. Thought should taken to which type of brick suitable to heavy traffic and high winds .
