consumer unit in downstairs toilet
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.02 PM
i have been asked to box in an existing consumer unit in a downstairs toilet. I will be using fire retardant timber for the frame and doors, do I need to be aware of any regulations regarding consumer units in a toilet area.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

As long as it is outside of any zones it will be ok
Just remember not to box it in too tight just incase you need to work on it in the future
Thanks
Ross

No.
Well, not unless it's below or near the level of the pan.
