Push button replacement for toilet

I would like to know if it is possible to buy the push button separately for a top flush toilet. The toilet currently flushes by pulling on a long plastic part inside the cistern (the lid has been put aside).
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If you can find a manufacturers name on the siphon you will be able to find a replacement button. From your descritption it may be a Siamp siphon. If you could post a picture of the siphon (flush valve) it should be easy it identify.
