If it concrete and flat then it needs to be converted to a Warm roof to comply with Approved Documents L & C of Building Regulations. This basically means you need roughly 130mm or more of solid insulation on top of the concrete before a deck and waterproof covering is added.

Keep the roof, it probably has reinforced steel bars running through it so small cracks will not do any harm.
Fit timbers to the roof and fill gaps between timbers with insulation, board the area with a structural ply roofing board (osb3) then fibreglass the whole area, or to save even more time, fit our CGF Roofing boards which osb3 smart ply sheets pre-laminated with fibreglass. This will give you a warm roof that will last years! (20 year guarantee)
