Part of house drain pipe outside missing, where can I get a new one?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.19 PM

It's the drain pipe leading from my kitchen sink straight to the outside drain, all thats there is a bit of black pipe facing left sticking out of the wall outside, it just shoots out water onto the floor because the other end of the pipe that usually leads to the drain is missing. If that made any sense, where can I get a new pipe bit? I don't seem to be able to find any place online, would it be easier to get a plumber to have a look and fit a new one? thanks.

The waste pipe from your kitchen sink will be 40mm waste pipe. It may be solvent weld or push fit, which are slightly different and not compatible. The best way to extend the pipe to terminate into the drain would be to use a 40mm McAlpline compression fitting which are compatible with all types of 40mm pipe.
