How soon can I paint over brick repair?

I've just had a few bricks replaced in a painted wall. How soon can I paint over it without causing any problems to the repair?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Let the mortar dry till its feels really hard say 3 to 4 days by then it should be ok

Give it 2/3 days the colour of the mortar will change and until the texture of the mortar is solid should be fine.
