Extension built to the rear of house bigger than plan states.

The house next door has just built a single story extension to the rear of his house . The extension comes out 500mm further that the plan states. Is this acceptable....

Hi.
No it's not...unless it has been agreed with the council as a non material amendment to a planning application... Or if the entire depth is less than 3m meaning it can be built under permitted development (assuming you are terrraced).
