Pressure loss after radiator fell off

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.01 PM

Our radiator pipe came loose when we were wallpapering and cut long story short water went everywhere but managed to get it back on. Looked at our pressure on dial and there was none. I managed to get it back up to 1bar but kept dropping through out the day. I've just recently checked the radiators for air and 2 of them had some in. Would this have sorted out the pressure drop?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The boiler will 99% chance have an auto airvent inside which will realease any stray air in the system, this could be where the pressure drop was. Keep an eye on it an you'll find out.

expansion vessel could also be needing a check by a qualified engineer most guys dont bother checking but natrual loss of charge is common bit like car tires they loose pressure you but more air in the same is for the vessel this does need doing by a qualified engineer who would know what to look for and do
