I have a noisy radiator that whistles
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.19 PM
I have a radiator in the hallway that is constantly "whistling" when the heating is on, no matter what temperature it is set at on the wall. I adjust the actual dial on the radiator, either up or down and it stops for a short while but then after a short time it starts again. Do I need to drain the radiator or do something else? It's driving me mad as is constant now when the heating is switched on. Thanks.

I had the same experience with a customers central heating. A whistling sound but also clunking. In his case the thermostatic rad valve was changed as it had already failed but also the whole system was flushed, no problems or noise since
