Stain at corner of ceiling and bubbling wall below (Orpington Kent)
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.19 PM
At the corner of my dining room ceiling, I recently noticed a yellow stain which seems to be growing slowly. And the wall under it is bubbling badly. Not sure if it is a leak somewhere. I live in Orpington, Kent. Can any expert give me some advice before I post a job? I can send some pictures if email address is provided. Many thanks.

Hi Ryan, almost certainly a leak, check the area above the stained ceiling in order to rectify the source. Then you need to scrape back the affected wall area prior to treating that and the yellow water stained ceiling with a stain block such as zinser or even a basic oil based undercoat does the trick.
Put 2 coats of stain block paint on areas, then allow to dry thoroughly before any necessary poly filling and finally re painting.
