We have a pine floor that makes a terrible noise for the lower floor. Can we get this fixed, if so how?

Sorry, it is rather muddled. We have two bedrooms on the second floor and they have pine floors. The noise the floor makes when walked upon is quite unbearable on the ground floor. I'm not sure that there is much insulation between the floors but the pine flooring certainly doesn't help. If you are interested in taking a look at the job or require further information please let me know.

Am i to asume that the floor in question is the first floor? Do the floor boards creek or is it the foot steps that can be heard? Do you have a plaster board ceiling under the floor?
