Reattaching door handles to hollow bedroom door.

Hi guys, The handles have come loose from a hollow wooden door. What's the best way of reattaching them? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Funny enough ! I get them all the time, best way is to push a piece of wood ,
thin enough yet tight enough into the holes , you could use a match stick even a cocktail stick then squeeze some wood adhesive into the hole, its not an exact science as long as you cut them off flush with the door panel and wipe excess glue off with a sponge, wait for it to dry for a few hours then bobs your uncle ! the screw will tighten nicely to pull back the handle.

as long as the wood surrounding the handles is in tact, try bolting them together. you can get little bolts from howdens joinery or maybe even b n q
the door should have a lock block.. sounds like the door has been fitted incorrectly..
i would personally put a new door on :-)
