Moving washing machine under stairs to make room for a dishwasher in kitchen

Hi, We are looking for an interim solution to our small kitchen before we extend in the future. We would like to move our washing machine to the open space under the stairs and then plumb in a dishwasher where the washing machine used to be in the kitchen. Is this possible and if so, how would it be done? There is an electric socket already in the under stairs space. Thanks
